Playing for Change

October 7, 2007 - Introductory Workshop

October 12-14, 2007 - Student Trip to Oglala Lakota College and the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

November 2nd - Shining Mountain Waldorf High School - African Musical Performance.

November 3rd - Meeting with Playing for Change musicians at Chautauqua Park in Boulder.

November 5th - Denver School of the Arts - Playing For Change Musical Performance.

November 6th - Boulder High School - Playing for Change Musical Performance.

November 7th - Playing for Change Rehearsal at Immersive Studios in Boulder.

November 8th - Playing for Change Concert at the Paramount Theatre in Denver. The event raised $80,000 for schools in South Africa and Tibetan Refugee Centers in India and Nepal!

This series of events launched Looking Glass Arts' "World Mirror Project" and provided a truly unforgettable experience for all involved.

The Playing For Change Foundation is dedicated to connecting the world through music by providing resources (including but not limited to facilities, supplies, and educational programs) to musicians and their communities around the world.

With the $80,000 raised through the November 8, 2007 Concert in Denver, they are building a music school in Guguletu, South Africa and assistance for Tibetan refugee centers in India and Nepal.
