"The Once and Future Art of Filmmaking"

In July 2008, twenty-one amazing high school Filmmakers and Actors came together and created 9 films during Looking Glass Arts' summer program, "The Once and Future Art of Fimmaking".

We gathered daily at Tara Performing Arts High School in Boulder, usually beginning the day with an Aikido lesson from Bob Wing.

During the first week, the Acting students explored their creativity and learned on-camera acting & improvisational skills.  The Filmmaking students created their screenplays, learned about the gear, and assembled their cast and crew. Everyone had fun practicing together and then their shooting films during the second week.

The students were mentored by incredible instuctors from a wide variety of backgrounds. During the third week, the filmmaking students edited their films and a formal screening was held on the final night of the program.
